Directed by Michael Legge

with performances scheduled for November 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd will be held September 23rd and 25th at 7 PM in the Conference Room of the Medway Public Library, 26 High Street. During the 1920s in the remote English countryside, Miss Fisk,  a retired woman of easy virtue,  lives with her housekeeper, Ellen.  Ellen persuades Miss Fisk to let her two mentally unstable sisters visit them.  Ellen is fiercely protective of her sisters and she schemes to have them live with her permanently.  Miss Fisk finds out her scheme and wants the sisters to leave and go to an asylum.  Ellen kills her and walls her up in the fireplace.  She tells the outside world that Miss Fisk is traveling and sold the home to Ellen.  Albert, Ellen's crooked nephew,  is on the run from the police after absconding with bank money.  He soon suspects Ellen of murder and starts to blackmail her.
ELLEN:  Middle aged. Quietly forceful and determined.  A touch of madness.
MISS FISK:  Elderly.  Usually affable and kind but can't abide the mad sisters.
ALBERT:  Ellen's nephew.  30's.  A cad,  a rake and thief.
LOUISA:  Middle aged. Ellen's sister.  Much in her own world,  and childlike.
EMILY:  Middle aged.  Ellen's sister.  More stern and dominating than Louisa.
SISTER THERESA:  A kindly nun from the nearby convent.
LUCY:  The young maid.  She becomes involved in Albert's plot of blackmail.
